Default Branch Santa Ornament

Hello All,
Well yesterday I went around town collecting some downed wood from the hurricane come through North Alabama. Got some Tulip Popular, Maple, Hackberry, and some Sycamore limbs. Anyhow I decided to carve some Santas in branches. Might try to sell them on Ebay along with my Silly Santa's. Here is some pictures of the first one, more to come. I cut the limb blanks and then put them in a jar BLO for a while to hopefully stop cracks and then dried them out and started carving.

Nice job. I like the way that you left some of the natural bark on the base which makes them more "real" in my opinion. Neat hanger system too... I suppose just for drying?

Thanks Dave! I'm gonna play around and see how many different versions I can come up with. The hanger is a wire one for ornaments, it has a turned birdhouse that hangs on it, but I used it to take the picture.
