 Branch Santa bust / Ornament I am having so much fun! I carved this out of a Tulip popular branch 1"wx4"L. I am working on faces, especially noses and eyes ect. This is great practice and I loved the way this one came out. Fixing to start a Santa bust out of a catalpa branch 3"x7" so I will have more room for details. Thanks! GaryMc

| Re: Branch Santa bust / Ornament Hi David, These are fun to do, can't wait to see yours! Catalpa is fairly soft and looks great stained, gets used alot for stylized carvings, and it can be carved green with out too much spliltting. the branches I have are 12 years old and I brought them form Arkansas when I moved to Alabama.
