Thanks for commenting Mark and Sharon.
I am drawing up a holiday doctor, cowboy, farmer and working on the idea of a fireman and soldier. I need to find a firemans hat and figure out what the soldier could be hanging on with, first thought was a parachute. I dunno?

Got any ideas? Wanda

Nice carving there Wanda! I like the hanging ideas... yup..yup...

For the soldier he could hang from his canteen? The strap could be caught up in the Christmas tree. Or the he could be hanging on to his strap of his helmet and thats caught up in the tree...or visa versa.

Its going to be fun to see what you come up with , with all your characters!

Thanks Christina, that's the angle I was hoping for. Something personal for whomever. If you can identify with it, you might be more inclined to buy it.

oh ya.. I'm always full of ideas... LOL I've been thinking on your 'hanging in theres' all day.
Cook hanging from a large wisk or soup ladle.
Granny hanging from a large rolling pin or needle in one hand,(thread) going up and over to the 'material in her other hand'
Gramps hanging from his garden hoe or garden hose.
Kids hanging from crayons. Boys hanging from slingshots.
artist hanging from paint brush or hand pallet.
Tiny baby hanging from a bottle or pacifire.
Fireman hanging from water hose.
Policeman hanging from... ticket book?? LOL or his whistle?
Candymaker hanging from some stretched taffy?
Reigndeer hanging from christmas lights? Same as elves?

Could carve a dollar bill that comes down to a point and have anyone hanging on to that point... ya know.. that verrrrry last dollar.

LOL see.. LOTs of ideas...need more just hollar. LOL

Marcia, Have you been lookin at my drawing board? I have a rough sketch of a barefoot farmer in overalls hanging by a sithe(?), a fireman by the hose, but he needs his hat, an artist hanging by his paintbrush which is dripping paint on him and yes, he has a pallet in one hand, did a female version too.

Hey are you going to join the friendship mini cane this time?

LOL I'm glad I'm not the only one that has a drawing pads laying around with ideas scribbled all over them. LOL

I'll have to pass on the mini cane, I have too busy of a summer this year. Maybe if another goes in the late fall I can jump in.
