| | Any Easter carvings out there? Holiday wood carving subjects include Christmas motifs (Santas, snowmen, etc) and to a lesser extent, Halloween (pumpkins and witches). Any Easter related carvings out there to celebrate the holiday?
I recently starting purchasing a few carvings for my personal collection. One of the carvings that is part of my collection is a cute little Oaxacan carving of a rabbit. I think WCI did an article of the Oaxacan style carvings a few years back. The carvings themselves are rather simple, but the painting can be intricate and fantastic. ![004[1]1](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/004[1]1.gif) Easter to all! |

No, no Easter carvings, I'm up to my elbows in Santas already. I do, however, have a couple bunnies draw up with the hopes of carving someday....does that count?? Callynne |

The things I've carved for Easter includes a flower, 3-4 different rabbits, and some eggs...the eggs I bought, then carved different things on them--an Easter bunny, a flower, a face...
I'm striving to have at least one carving for every holiday/season and I'm almost there.

| | Re: Any Easter carvings out there? Well, the lady who received this seemed happy to receive it on Easter Sunday, not one of my better efforts , but not bad for an old guy who has lost all the feeling in his thumb, forefinger and index finger of his carving hand..and it's only three inches tall.

Thanks for sharing the pictures of your carvings, there are absolutely fantastic and certainly fit with the season!
Are these your own designs, or are you working from patterns? If so, what is your souce?
Keep up the great carving!
