This guy is currently underway. He's 14" tall and tupelo wood. He will have a long scroll in each hand..the naughty list and the nice list. I was looking at his beard as I drew it and it looked like a splashing waterfall...LOL. So that is the new name for this type of beard.

Thank you for your vote of confidence, Di..... I hope he turns out. He's coming along well at this point but "stuff happens" so we'll see... Thank you Paul, Marcia, and yes Marcia, I will take photos as we go along. In fact, I took some today that I will be posting here in a few minutes after I get them resized. Thank you both. |

Thank you Feb. I hope you are right. I'm certainly enjoying him right now. Didn't get as much time in the shop today as I'd have liked but we had to make an airport run to pick up a friend of a friend...still got in over 3 hours carving before we went. Here are a few more shots of him a little farther along. Mostly shaping the scroll and starting the hands yesterday and today. |

Susie, I love this carving wonderful detail is he your own design? What ever this is going to be a collectable hope you already have a good home for him. I look foreward to seeing the progress and the painting of this guy. Thanks for sharing him with us. Colin
