| | Another Gargac Santa!!!!!!!!! Hi All: Just when you thought Gargac Santa's might be slowing down here comes Mottles with another one.
This one is actually the second half of the block. I'm still learning and making mistakes. LOL Lost one part of the viewer's right nose wing. So I had to shave some off the viewer's left nose wing.
I didn't use oil paints on this one instead used Deco Americana, which I like very much. It's a big difference between acrylic and oil. I think it's easier for me to do skin tones with oil. But I like the quick drying time of the acrylic's. Had fun, except for the nose problem....after about the twenty-fifth one I should have it down pat. LOL
Thank you for looking,
Merry Christmas, ![004[1]1](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/004[1]1.gif) Holidays,

| | Re: Another Gargac Santa!!!!!!!!! Bart, Tony & Banjo, thank you for your nice compliments much appreciated.
Banjo I have Marks 'Mountain Man' CD, but not his 'Santa CD' which must be really good. I know there are a lot of steps shown in the CD that you don't get in the WCI Santa magazine article. You can't go wrong having at least one of Mark's CD's or all of them (I think there are just the two right now).
If you ever get a chance to take one of his classes you won't regret it!

| | Re: Another Gargac Santa!!!!!!!!! hobo, Kenny, Bob & El, thank you all for you nice compliments also. This little Santa has been a real task master and learning experience for me. I agree, I do think this will be the most popular articles with how/to for a long time.
Mark is a fantastic carver, person and so generous with his talents.
