| | 1st Quilted Santa (Goody's Blank) Hi Gang,
When I was at Open House a couple of weeks ago Goody and Anna gave me a blank to carve. This is my carving from that blank. Cant remember what the name of the wood is (Goody help me out). The carving is about 10 inches tall and was really nice to carve. This is a bit of challege for me because I am a little lost without the chainsaw. Took me a lot of hours from start to finish but I really enjoyed carving it. Thanks again Goody I know my painting is not as good as Anna's but practice makes perfect.

| | Re: 1st Quilted Santa (Goody's Blank) Colin, I would have recognised that Santa as yours in a second. The eyes! I think it's a fine piece. Both the carving and the painting. And I can imagine the difference between carving that small (for you) and the large chainsawn pieces. Very nice indeed. Tom H |

| | Re: 1st Quilted Santa (Goody's Blank) Nicely done Colin. As Tom said...it must have been quite a change going down to 10 inches of wood. I like the color scheme you chose. Even at that size, I could tell it was your carving!
